This site was founded and built by Doctor C. Unless otherwise noted, he also wrote the content, with occasional help from his lovely wife and brilliant daughters.
Growing up with red hair and a Southern accent meant two strikes against me right off the bat and a strong start toward a life of madness. In a particularly challenging period of insanity, I obtained an advanced degree in chemistry and worked in the pharmaceutical industry for 21 years. Fortunately, I was ultimately deemed "redundant" and set free into the big, bad world with no marketable skills outside of organic chemistry. I eventually found myself in front of the computer with too much time on my hands and a severely dysfunctional outlook on life. Thus was born HumorVolcano.com, which was launched on May 12, 2009.
